Most founders build a strong foundation for their company.

Few build one for themselves.

ThriveLab helps founders and CEOs build the foundation to go further — in business and in life.

Success in one dimension.

Quiet struggle in the rest.

If you're here, you're probably building something real — something that gets you up in the morning, something that matters.

But the life we actually want? Most of us have never stopped to define it. There's a story we all buy into — if you just keep building, everything good will follow. And unfortunately, it usually doesn't work out like that.

Not every leader feels like this. But many do. And if you're one of them — you'll recognize this.

From the outside, things look good. But on the inside, you might be feeling overwhelmed. Unhappy. Not leading the way you know you're capable of. Your relationships are getting whatever's left over. Your health keeps getting pushed. The meaning you thought all of it would bring — hasn't shown up the way you expected.

And here's what doesn't get talked about enough: that gap starts to affect your work. Your thinking. Your decisions. Your leadership. It's quiet, but it compounds over time.

This isn't a strategy problem. It's a foundation problem — because pressure amplifies whatever state you're building from.

Ten years in the making - why thrivelab exists

I was outwardly successful and inwardly struggling.

I started this work over ten years ago.

By every external measure, my life looked like wild success. My wife Sarah and I had just finished building our dream home. The organization was growing. My work was making a real impact in the world. But inside I was overwhelmed, running on empty, struggling to lead the way I knew I was capable of — my team felt it, and so did my family. And I wasn't tending to the things that would have actually helped — the foundation I needed simply wasn't there.

The problem wasn't ambition or resources. I'd done therapy. I'd worked with coaches. But neither got me to where I actually wanted to be. The deep integration — identity, relationships, energy, purpose, leadership, wealth, all at once — didn't really have a home.

So I spent a decade finding what works. I read the books, did the programs, went deep on the frameworks. And I started to get clear on what I actually wanted from my life, what I wanted to contribute, and who I needed to become to get there. The person I am today — as a leader, a husband, a father, a friend — is unrecognizable from where I started.

I’m Matt Prindiville, and I’ve lived twenty-plus years as a founder and CEO — most recently leading CLYNK through an acquisition by TOMRA. You don't have to figure this out alone. ThriveLab is what I couldn't find when I needed it most — so I built it.

This isn't about working less or pulling back. It's about building the foundation to go further — as a leader, and as a person.

ThriveLab helps founders
build the foundation to go further.

Five months. Two retreats. A room full of founders & CEOs ready to lead — and live — at the level they're capable of.

The Cohort

4–8 founders / CEOs per cohort. This is a working room — everyone is building something real and willing to be honest about what's working and what isn't.

Opening Retreat

One opening dinner and two full days together in Rincón, Puerto Rico or Portland, Maine. Focused mornings, open afternoons, dinner together. This is where the real work begins.

Bi-Weekly Cohort Sessions

90-minute virtual working sessions every two weeks. Real decisions, real pressure-testing, real accountability.

Monthly Private Coaching

One-on-one with Matt each month. Your vision, your patterns, your authority, the shifts your life and business require.

Working Pairs + Platform

You're paired with a peer at the start — a built-in thinking partner to work with between cohort sessions. Cohort stays connected via Slack, and all content lives on a dedicated platform.

Closing Retreat

We come back together. Same place, same group, different vantage point. You take stock of what's changed — and decide what comes next from a position of clarity.

THE WORK

This isn't just about your business. It's about your whole life.

Over five months we work across all five pillars — because everything you're building rests on the foundation underneath it.

01 - Mind, Identity & Meaning

Who are you beyond the role? What do you actually want our of life? What do you want to contribute? And what's holding you back from living it? And what does success actually mean — to you, on your own terms?

02 - Body, Health & Energy

Your body is the instrument everything else runs on. Sleep, movement, fuel — and the pursuits that actually restore you. Surfing, music, art, sport. The things that light you up aren't indulgences — they're essential.

03 - Relationships

Your loved ones. Your marriage or partnership. Your kids if you have them. Your team. High performance that comes at the cost of the people who matter most isn't high performance — it’s just loss.

04 - Work & Impact

Role clarity. How you lead. How you make decisions. The impact you're actually having. And how to operate at the level you're truly capable of.

05 - Wealth & Stewardship

Not just money — real wealth. Time with the people you love. Work that matters. Freedom to pursue what lights you up. Many of us never stop to ask what we’re actually doing all this for. This is where we change that.

Five months. Transformed life.

All five pillars. Moving forward. Together.

WHERE WE GATHER

We meet where you can breathe.

Puerto Rico or Maine. Pick your season.

Both retreats happen at my homes. Villa Playa sits above Sandy Beach in Rincón, Puerto Rico - with ocean views, terraces and a pool. 249 Spring is in the heart of Portland, Maine's West End. Beautiful places that help you restore and refresh — before the work even begins.

Rincón, Puerto Rico

November Cohort · Nov → April

Arrive for dinner. Two full days of focused work in the morning, open time in the afternoon — on the water, at the beach, in the surf. November and April in Puerto Rico are as good as it gets.

Portland, Maine

May Cohort · May → October

Same idea — dinner and then two full days. Spring and fall in Maine at their finest — crisp air, harbor walks, great food, and a city that rewards slow mornings.

What changes

Typically, we've been building toward a future shaped by who we were in the past — not who we're becoming. The beliefs we formed early. The definition of success we inherited. The vision we set before we actually knew what we wanted.

What we do here is different. We start with the future you actually want — how you want to live, what you want to create, who you want to be. And then we do the work to become that person now. Not someday. Right now.

You leave with a clear vision for your life and your business — not a vague sense of what you want, but a defined picture you're actively building toward.

The strategies and a personal operating system to execute on it. The structure that makes the vision real.

Your beliefs and identity have been examined — and restructured around the person you're becoming, not the patterns that got you here.

You have peers who know your story, your struggles, and your vision. And a community that outlasts the program.

And underneath all of it — a different felt sense of being alive. Leading and living from a place of grounded confidence and faith in yourself. Not fear. Not anxiety. Presence under pressure.

You know how it feels to inhabit your life fully.

ThriveLab is for founders & CEOs who know they're leaving the life they want — and the leadership they're capable of — on the table.

And they’re ready to change that.

Who it’s for

  • You feel the gap between your outward success and the life you actually want to live

  • You sense you're not operating at the level you're capable of — in work or in life

  • You're willing to examine your beliefs, patterns, and decisions — not just your strategy

  • You know the next chapter requires an evolution — to become the person your vision demands

Not for me if

  • You're looking for a referral network — ThriveLab is a transformation process you live with a community

  • You want someone to hand you a playbook and tell you what to do

  • You're not ready to look inward — this work requires it

  • You're looking for quick fixes — this takes five months and real commitment

PROGRAMS I'VE DONE THE WORK IN

“In 45+ years in business, I've worked with and been exposed to a number of top-talent executives. In my opinion and experience, Matt Prindiville is in the very top of that class.”

Bob Schools, former SVP of Retail Operations — Hannaford Supermarkets, and CLYNK Board Member

“Matt delivers the kind of leadership today needs — bold, practical, and transformative. He helps leaders cut through complexity and scale impact.”

Marcus Eriksen, CEO and Co-Founder of 5 Gyres and LeapLab

“I hired Matt to succeed me as CEO of CLYNK — and in less than three years, he grew the company faster than at any time in its history, positioning it as a dominant force in a volatile, quickly-evolving marketplace. His innovation was only surpassed by his skillful leadership managing and motivating a rapidly expanding workforce.”

Clayton Kyle, Founder of CLYNK and Executive Chairman
